LOSING: A KEY TO BEING SUCCESSFUL
"Success is the achievement or attainment of a desired outcome"according to the dictionary.
How do you define success?
Have you found success in your life?
It is from the losses, failures, or misses that we can learn and grow to achieve success. In high school though my grades were A's and B's, I did poorly on my SAT test scores and was told "you will never graduate from college." That inspired me to prove that counselor AND MYSELF that he was wrong. I did receive a college degree and go on to get a Master's Degree. I bounced high from those stinging words and low test scores.
No one is born successful...someone might be born into a rich or famous family, but that does not make him or her successful. Too often we look at famous people and think, "I could never achieve what he or she has done." Sometimes we think of ourselves as unworthy or dwell on our past losses, or unlucky. We forget that someone like Drew Barrymore had to study acting, overcome her addictions, and prove to the entertainment world that she could be successful on her own merits...she bounced higher and learned from her experiences of life.
THINK ABOUT ALL THOSE WHO HAVE FACED CANCER OR SOME OTHER CHALLENGE...DAYS OF SETBACKS OR LOSSES...ONLY TO RISE ABOVE...AND BE SUCCESSFUL AS THEY FACED EACH DAY WITH DIGNITY AND LOVE.
SUCCESS IS HOW WE LIVE AND HOW WE DIE.
Proceeds go to ovarian cancer research.
